Contracting for a digital agency Absolute IT, I designed and developed an eCommerce website for Storage Choice - one of Australia's largest self storage companies, with 10 facilities across the country and a multi-million dollar annual turnover.

The project was designed using Figma and then developed using Next.js, Vercel and Strapi Headless CMS. The entire website was hand-built including a modern design system, automated testing, reusable components, bookings system and checkout.

The website includes a complex API integration with Storman, which the client uses to manage all bookings and display available storage units.

The website is also automatically translated into 10 different languages using a modern AI translation service called DeepL -

Good To Great Schools Australia provides a suite of educational software for use in public and private schools. Though their website is quite dated by today's standards, their software has been widely successful and a new modern version is being developed.

Contracted to assist with initial development of their new software by creating a modern design system. This included a Figma pattern library and full suite of reusable components made with React.js / Next.js packaged as a private NPM repository for use by all development teams.

Responsible for establishing the core development environments, configuring CI/CD pipelines, implementing automated testing, defining coding standards, defining internal processes / standards and ensuring all development teams adhered to these.

Contracting for digital agency Webplace, I worked with an enterprise client Betashares - an Australian fund management company with $50 billion in assets under management and over 1 million investors on their platform.

Operating as the Technical Lead, I directed multiple teams to develop a modern design system, which we then used to create the entire client-facing Betashares website.

This included developing a large suite of reusable components, creating a design pattern library in Figma, defining coding standards and processes, implementing CI/CD deployment pipelines, performing high-traffic user tests, ensuring accurate analytics, managing client expectations and creating detailed technical documentation.

Designed and developed a new eCommerce website for Narangba Timbers - one of Australia's largest timber suppliers with an annual turnover exceeding $15 million. The new website was highly successful, increasing engagement and sales by over 30%.

As part of this project I also created a suite of reusable components, defined coding standards, implemented CI/CD deployment processes and integrated with 3rd party APIs (MYOB and Hubspot).

Designed and developed a progressive web app for BuRPS - an Australian software company which provides a suite of budgeting, rostering and payroll software. Their successful software is currently used by over 250 IGA Supermarkets.

The BuRPS Staff Portal app is used by large organisations to communicate with and organise their staff members. It allows staff to view upcoming rosters, request time off, complete required training certifications, message their employers and more.

As part of this project I was also required to develop a large suite of reusable components which aligned to the Google Material Design specification, integrate with the existing BuRPS RESTful API, define coding standards, implement CI/CD deployment processes and perform real-world usability testing.

Designed and developed Shopify and Wordpress websites for Polished Marketing - a well-known digital agency in Brisbane.

I also created a suite of reusable components and WordPress Gutenberg Blocks for use across multiple projects, integrated with 3rd party platforms and APIs, implemented CI/CD methodologies and maintained multiple existing websites.

GBST is one of Australia's largest technology organizations, specialising in financial technology software.

Developed interfaces using Ember.js for a complex suite of wellness/investment software for Vitality Group - the world's largest behavioral engagement platform with over 35 million members worldwide.

Developed a reusable "starter pack" with React.js, which was then used for all new projects within the organisation. This included a large suite of reusable components, pre-configured development environments, automated testing, build pipelines, AWS deployment processes and in depth technical documentation.
