Storage Choice

Storage Choice is a family owned Australian self storage company established in 1985. They currently have 10 storage facilities across South East Queensland and a multi-million dollar annual turnover.

The modern project was designed using Figma and then developed using Next.js, Vercel and Strapi Headless CMS.

I was responsible for the design and development end to end. The project was entirely hand-built including a modern design system, automated testing, reusable components, a complete bookings system, custom checkout and complex 3rd party API integrations.

The website is also automatically translated into 10 different languages using a modern AI translation service called DeepL -

In terms of the design, this was definitely a challenge. The core branding uses very bold colours and these needed to be heavily featured to match the existing storage facilities.

There was also a lot of thought put into ensuring the website appealed to everyday people and families. We wanted to make sure it was modern and easy to use without looking too fancy or expensive.

Overall this project came together extremely well. It's much easier to use than competitors' websites and has a very high conversion rate.
